Today we look at Ephesians 2:1-10 and what it says about who we were without Christ? What God did to change that? How and why God accomplished this? And what else we should look forward to as a result of being "in Christ."
Prayer: Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal God to you personally as you worship Him and to listen to and apply the things he wants you to learn, and the person He wants you to become.
Questions you might want to work through... • Explain the paradox of how sinners are both dead in their sin, yet alive in other ways? • What is it about being dead in sin that is both self-deceiving and deceiving to others? • What do verses 4-6 say that God saw in us that made us worth saving? • What do those verses tell us about God? • What does it mean that we are raised and seated in the heavenlies with Christ? • How do good works "in Christ", differ from good works prior to Christ?
