Series: Hope for such a time as this... "Living Hope for the future."
Writing to the Christian suffering persecution, to our surprise, the advice that Peter gives them, the hope that Peter tells them to hold on to, doesn't at first glance appear very encouraging or even hopeful. Maybe it's cultural difference. Maybe it's that our faith has become so intertwined with our culture we struggle with true Christian hope. But it is exactly the hope we need for such a time as this.
IF this didn't work this will be exactly the same service we'll be doing or you can wait 'till later to watch the recorded version of the livestream.
Prayer: Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal himself to you personally as you worship Him and to teach you about what He wants you to see, know and do about finding hope as you live through times that in any other circumstances might hurt our hope.

In our live service we will be pausing after each song to discuss what stood out to us about the message of the song and praise God about that thing in prayer.
Song: God of Angel armies
Song: You are my vision
Song: Who Am I
Message: Our Living Hope When Peter writes Christians who'd been scattered by persecution and were still suffering under it. He writes to encourage them. We might struggle to see it as encouragement. But it is exactly the encouragement we need to build our faith and motivate us to live for Christ during times such as these.
Ask God to show you what he wants you to see this morning...
After each section I ask some questions, you can pause the video to think about those questions for a greater application of the message. I forgot to add that into the video, but we will be doing this live.
